Feeling Grateful

Ah… some peace and quiet! I fell in love all over again. Despite the prodromal labor, this is much easier the second time around! It may have been the amazing midwife I had but labor was relatively low impact compared to my first (and I thought I had a good first birth)! This time labor was only 40 … Continue reading Feeling Grateful

Living a life guided by revelation

Today marks five years since I got baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was one of the most difficult but life changing decisions I have ever made. I was never a religious person. My family wasn’t religious either. I didn’t know if there was a God nor did I care … Continue reading Living a life guided by revelation

I like to look for rainbows

It’s 50 degrees f (10 c) outside and the sun finally came out! I can definitely understand why Ireland is famous for their rainbows. It’s because it rains so much here! It rains pretty much everyday. This is the most magnificent and brilliant rainbow we have ever seen! It reminds me of the primary song When I am Baptized. … Continue reading I like to look for rainbows

Glendalough

Lough (pronounced lock) in Irish means “lake”.  This is such a pretty tourist site.  We picked the perfect day to go see this area.  It was partly cloudy and around 45 degrees f (~8 degrees c) that day.  We toured the cemetery and the old watch tower.  I was surprised to see real mountains in Ireland! It reminded … Continue reading Glendalough

This video really highlights what Ireland looks light. You can see how green it is here! It also has some … Continue reading Irish Mormon

Making Menus… Yikes!

Sorry for the absence. We’ve been traveling on the weekends and we were a little “under the weather” for a week or so. I never thought I’d do it but I’ve started making weekly menus. With the high food prices in Ireland and not having a car… I need to make menus. I’ve actually kinda liked … Continue reading Making Menus… Yikes!

Dallin’s First Post

Dear World…. This is my first blog post!  Hooray.   I wanted to write to my family and friends and tell them about my experience in Ireland.  It is amazing and fun, as well as trying. The castles, greenery, ancient cathedrals, and accents are neat. It’s much more expensive, and learning how to do things … Continue reading Dallin’s First Post

The McDonald’s to Gospel Analogy

Gotta love all the analogies that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints make about the gospel. At church last Sunday I heard a really funny one and I just have to share it. “The Church is like McDonald’s” There is this really nice looking McDonald’s across the street from the Bray … Continue reading The McDonald’s to Gospel Analogy
