About Us

Dallin is a MD/PhD student at University of Utah who got his undergraduate degree at Utah State University. Dallin is doing a MD after his PhD. For his PhD he works in the bioengineering program with anti-cancer pharmaceuticals.  He loves to go biking, play outside, read books, and go on adventures. Dallin speaks Portuguese because he served a 2 year church mission in Manaus, Brazil.

May Bo  is currently serving a Church Service Mission as a photographer for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She recently graduated with a BS computer science graduate from the University of Utah in 2012.  She loves art, photography, multimedia, problem solving, programming, computers, cooking, and rollerblading. She is currently busy being a stay-at-home mom.  She started a blog called “The WordPress Ward” which highlights Mormon WordPress Bloggers. She is a 8 year convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Here is my conversion story.

Micah was born in 2011. He loves cars and shoes. We are biased but he is one of the smartest kids we know! Micah also speaks Portuguese.

Quentin is our chubby little teddy bear. He was born in 2013. He was born when we were living in Dublin, Ireland.

We were living in Dublin, Ireland from December 2012 until July 2013 for Dallin’s graduate research at the University College of Dublin. Now we are back in Utah.

We blog about our family adventures.

We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yes, we are Christians and believe in Jesus Christ.

  1. You are 2 CUTE kids carrying a bucketload of talent. Of course, it’s your Mom speaking. It will be fun to see where all that bio-engineering, art, and photography take you. There are mountains to scale but we can see you both making it to the summit of life. LOVE< LOVE<LOVE<MOM & DAD

  2. hi how are you guys doing . this is moumita and kapil. have fun on your stay and give hugs and love to micah

  3. Hi May Bo, lovely to discover your blog. You 4 look very happy and surrounded by love. Micah is born the same year a my son, so very similar ages. Good luck with all your adventures. The one about making a bike was very exciting. I’m pleased you managed it at the end and Micah seems to be loving it. Laura

    1. I am so happy I discovered your blog! We travel a lot too. Can’t wait to follow your adventures. 🙂 I love reading blogs like yours! Glad I came across it. 🙂

  4. What a BEAUTIFUL and JOYFUL family! Thank you for liking my family at http://familyanswersfast.wordpress.com/ 🙂 Like yours, when our family was younger, we moved often (leaving a bit of our hearts behind at each location.) We had the privilege of living in Elko NV for a few years, and traveled to Utah often, especially SLC. Wonderful place ❤ Merry Christmas and a blessed 2014!

  5. Hey, May Bo! I received this Comment from you and wanted to get back! You said: Hey Brandi,

“Random question… how did you limit your post on the wordpress reader? Like when I was on my wordpress feed I could only see half of your post and because I was so interested I had to come onto your blog. I guess it worked the way it was suppose to. I’d love to add that to my blog too!”

Well, when writing a post in the edit function, there’s a little symbol that is 3 horizontal lines, 2 solid the middle one dotted–when you hover your mouse over it, it says “insert more tag”. This more symbol neighbors the spell check symbol.

I hope that helps!! If not, let me know and I’ll try to explain it a different way.
My question to you now–how do you make it snow on yours? What a great trick!

    Your family is beautiful!

    1. Thanks for the reply! I got it to work. So in the general settings in your wordpress dashboard… the very last box says something like “Make snow fall on your blog until Jan 4″…. I just checked it and snow started falling! IDK if it’s part of my template or if it’s just something that wordpress is allowing everyone to have snow fall on their blog! I hope that makes sense. Glad to make a new wordpress friend! 🙂

  6. MayBo, thanks for the Christmas card and ability to see this beautiful blog about your precious family. We will enjoy staying in touch with you! Have a Merry Christmas!

  7. Thanks for visiting and following my blog! I’m looking forward to reading more of your entries. You have a beautiful family! We’re members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also! 🙂

  8. Hello Dallin and May Bo! Thank you for following my blog and commenting on my Dalkey post. I’m studying at University College Dublin right now! I go to the Terenure Ward in South Dublin. I will follow your blog–the content is inspiring and it’s nice to connect with fellow church members!

    1. That’s so crazy! Small world. Ireland is seriously the coolest place ever. I feel nostalgic talking about it! UCD is sooooo pretty. We went to Tereure ward once for a baptism. Do you just love the YSA stuff at the stake center?!? Give Aisling a big hug for me. I miss her so much.

  9. Wow, what a WONDEFUL thing it is to stumble across a fellow saint’s blog who is unafraid of spreading the beautiful truth of the Gospel! All of us missionaries out there are so grateful for you! Your blog is magnificent–such great writing and photography. Thank you for sharing the gifts and talents that God has given you!

  10. I am so blessed that you found my little blog. Your family is precious & I look forward to following along on your journey. I bet Ireland was great! Blessings, sweet family!
